Day 2

Last night we went to an amazing restaurant and ate freshly caught fish! It also seems here every place has their own way of making a margarita, this place used pineapple and orange juice. In celebration of our marriage we were even given a free dessert, a baked hawaiian. It has chocolate and vanilla ice cream along with seared meringue on top. This morning we went on a 4 hour atv ride through the jungle. We got to see spots where some famous movies have filmed a couple scenes like Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones. We got so dirty on this ride we are still rubbing dirt off us. On the ride we went to 2 waterfalls and a swimming hole with a rope swing. John made some pretty painful sounding flops in the water :). As soon as we had showeres after the atv trip we went straight to the luau tonight. We got to see them remove a pig from there earthen oven. Then we went into the dining hall where there were free mai tais. For dinner there was an amazing array of different hawaiian foo!
ds, inclu
ding the smoked pig, poi, fresh fruits from their private grove, mahi mahi, and teriaki beef. It all tasted amazing! During dinner a funny peacock was displaying his feathers and making quite a bit of
noise. We had fun watching it dance around. After dinner there was a cool dancing show with polynesian, chinese, japanese, hawaiian, phillipine, and new zealand style dancing. It was all so amazing looking. I expecially enjoyed the fire dancing. John really like the chinese lion dance. I will post some pictures in the morning, we have had a tiring day.

Day 1

Our first real day here! We drove to our ziplining adventure in our Chrysler Seabring convertible, which we got as a free upgrade from the cheapest car they had. It rained a couple times today already and we were worried we would be ziplining in the rain, but fortunately it cleared up in time.Ziplining was so much fun! We zipped through the trees for about 2 hours. In addition to zipping through the trees we crossed to "bridges." The first had all the horizontal pieces but they weren't connected. That wasn't to hard to cross once you got in the motion of it. The second bridge was a rope bridge, I.e. 3 pieces of rope. That bridge was so hard for me to cross I was so scared! John did great, he even did this cool thing where he leaned back and stuck his hand out to the side. We spent the afternoon at the beach. We rented boogie boards for the week and enjoyed catching waves on the shoreline. We also sat at the poolside bar and had a drink.Later tonight we are going to the plant!
ation res
taurant where some of the best fresh fish are found on the island.

We Made It!

We made it to Hawaii, and even more surprising, we are headed to our hotel room. The only reason this is surprising is because we almost didn't get to go to our hotel room tonight, but thanks to mom she got us the last 2 seats on a flight we were told was booked. Thanks mom!We both can't wait to hit the pillows and go to sleep. Zzz...
